Word is usually the best starting point when you have both the original DOCX and an exported PDF. Translating the source document avoids a PDF conversion step and keeps the result editable in Word.
The service translates document text, including supported headings, paragraphs, tables, headers, footers, footnotes and endnotes. It works within the DOCX structure to retain styles and layout settings. Text inside a picture is different from editable Word text and should be checked separately.
Prepare your DOCX before uploading
- Save older .doc files as .docx in your word processor. This uploader accepts DOCX, not the older binary DOC format.
- Resolve tracked changes and remove comments you do not intend to share. Comments and embedded objects are not a substitute for ordinary document text.
- Use real headings and tables where possible. Avoid placing essential wording only inside screenshots or diagrams.
- Keep the file within 20 MB and 20,000 words. Select both the source and target language when reviewing the quote.
Review the translated document
Open the result in your usual word processor and compare it with the original. Check names, dates, figures, hyperlinks and business terminology, then look for changed page breaks or crowded table cells. A different language can take more space even when the document's formatting settings are preserved.
