Translate Excel spreadsheets online

Excel translation is useful for business trackers, product lists, internal reporting templates and other workbooks that mix words with calculations. The supported cell text is translated across worksheets, while numeric cells and formulas are preserved.

The pipeline handles shared strings, inline strings and literal text cells, including supported text with mixed formatting. Formula cells and their cached values are left unchanged. Worksheet names are also retained, so your original workbook structure remains recognisable.

• Text inside embedded charts, pictures and other drawing objects is outside the cell-text translation path.
• A formula that produces a text label keeps its original formula and cached result. Review those labels separately if they need translation.
• Keep codes, identifiers and product names in mind during review; an AI model may interpret some text values as ordinary words.
• Use an XLSX file of up to 20 MB and 20,000 words. Convert older XLS files to XLSX before uploading; macro-enabled XLSM files are not supported by this upload route.

After downloading, compare formula cells and totals, inspect headings and filters, and look for longer translated labels in narrow columns. Preserving a column width does not make every language fit the same space: you may want to adjust wrapping or width for the final audience.
